Yellow Power For Spring & Summer
Yellow is one of my favorite colors & for a good reason. Its a color of optimism & brings that energy forward whenever you wear it – inspiring others to feel more positive.
Unfortunately, it can sometimes be a color many people shy away from – not knowing which shade or tone works best, fearing it might wash them out or look too bright. Find out what your ideal yellow is by booking my Color Analysis Session!
This year, more than ever, I’m seeing yellow carried across various retailers at different price points, and represented in many different color tones – from neon to pale. I love introducing my clients to their best yellow when we go shopping together. It’s actually quite an easy color to mix, as it creates beautiful color harmonies with purple, blue, black, white and various shades of red – from pink to burgundy.
In today’s outfit, I chose two pieces in yellow that I’m obsessing over and wearing on repeat – and added an element of patterns into the mix to keep the look interesting.
Bright colors & patterns are both very approachable as far as style elements are concerned, so they create a feeling of fun, uniqueness & playfulness – perfect for Spring and Summer wardrobes. I mixed florals in different types in my scarf and top – both in fresh color combinations. The key to mixing florals is to choose ones that have similar scale (size). Even if the color stories are different, the florals will feel as though they’re part of the same garden 🙂
What are some of your favorite yellow pieces for Spring? Would love to hear in the comments below!
